👋 Hi! I'm Palosanto, Founder/designer at Oakanda. I keep my online identity small but I've got big plans IRL.

Fashion. Forward. Filanthropy.*

*We know how to spell "philanthropy". Branding, though.

Oakanda is a fashion collective and think tank that uses streetwear as a Trojan horse to embed collective liberation into pop culture.

It's a love letter to the birthplace of the Black Panther Party for Self-Defense. Now there was a visionary organization that knew a thing or two about using fashion to inspire a working-class movement.

We like fashion because it's both useful and expressive.

It's useful: clothes protect you from the weather, glasses help you see and protect you from the sun.

It's expressive: a way to communicate your identity, your values, and what team you're on.

We're building a spiritual descendant of Fred Hampton's Rainbow Coalition. Our key pillars are class solidarity, anti-racism, and law enforcement accountability.

👋 I'm Palosanto, the founder and lead designer.

I don't care what skin color you have, which way you swing, or how many zeros are in your bank account. I care a lot about the quality of your artistry, your character, and how you use your platform.
