The birthplace of the Black Panther Party ✊🏿✊🏽 and Black Panther director Ryan Coogler 🙅🏿♂️, Oakland has been home to trailblazers and revolutionaries since the 1960s.
In 2026, The Town may be the last bastion of real culture in a Bay Area that's been overrun by billionaires, tech bros and vulture capitalists. Oakanda Eyewear is dedicated to restoring Oakland's crown as the cultural and innovation capital of the Bay, one pair of hand-crafted frames at a time.
